What we provide, what it costs, and what happens if you leave.

This site

lightmorphic.com is the site of Lightmorphic Ltd. It is provided for information. We keep it accurate and correct mistakes when we find them, but we do not promise every detail is current at the moment you read it. Prices shown here may change; the written quote you are given is the one that binds us.

Websites

We design, build and host a custom website for your business.

First year, covering design, build and hosting: £499. This is a launch price, available until 30 June 2027; new clients after that date are quoted our regular rate.
From year two onwards, hosting continues at £99 a year.
Two small changes a month are included — text edits, image swaps, opening hours and similar. Larger work such as new pages or a redesign is quoted separately before it starts.
Live chat is included with every site at no extra cost for as long as the annual hosting is active. If it is ever split out as a separate product, any site already using it free keeps it free for the life of that site.
Once your specifications are confirmed, the site goes live within three working days.

Custom software

Software is quoted from your description as one fixed price with a completion date, both in writing, before any code is written. The price covers building, testing, documenting and handing over. It changes only if you ask for something that was not in the description, and then only after we have told you the new number.

At handover you receive the code, the data and the documentation in full. For thirty days after handover we fix anything that does not work as agreed, at no charge. That is a warranty, not a support plan, and it applies whether or not you take anything else from us.

Payment and cancellation

For websites, the first year is payable before work begins, and the renewal is billed yearly from your launch anniversary. If you choose not to renew, the site is taken offline but your files remain available to you on request for a reasonable period. For software, payment terms are set out in the quote.

Leaving

You can leave at any time. On request we hand over your complete site files, your form submissions, your subscriber list and your visitor figures, and you are free to host them anywhere. For software, the code and the data are yours. There is no lock-in and no penalty for leaving.

Acceptable use

Anything we host must be lawful and must accurately represent your business. We may decline or discontinue hosting something we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, illegal or harmful.

Liability

We aim for high availability and take security seriously, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted uptime, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from downtime or from third-party services outside our control. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from relying on this site. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Other people's material

The photographs and screenshots on this site are ours, or are of our own work. Each app we list has its own name, its own site and, where it is free software, its own licence. The type is Manrope, used under the SIL Open Font Licence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
