Privacy

Short version: we do not track you, and we never sell anything about you to anybody.

Cookies and tracking

None. Not "minimised" and not "anonymised first" — there is no tracking to begin with. This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and loads nothing from any other company: the type, the pictures and the code all come from this address. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

A cookie banner exists to ask permission for tracking. The honest answer to "may we track you?" is almost always no, so we build our sites so that the question never has to be asked.

Visitor numbers

We count visits: which pages were looked at, roughly how many people came, and which country they were browsing from. No cookie, no identifier in your browser, no fingerprinting, no advertising network and no data broker. No individual is ever identified, and nothing is ever sold or shared.

The contact form and the chat

If you fill in the form we receive the name, email address and message you chose to send, purely so we can reply to you. If you use the chat bubble we ask for an email address so a private reply link can be sent to you; conversations are encrypted on our servers, and an export of one is password-protected. We do not read them for any purpose other than answering you, and we do not use them for anything else.

The newsletter

If you sign up, we hold the address you gave us and nothing more. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and leaving deletes the address rather than marking it inactive.

Server logs

Like any web server, ours records each request it receives: the page asked for, the time, and your browser's description of itself. Your address is anonymised before it is written — the log never holds a full IP address — and the records are used only to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They are deleted automatically after 14 days and are never shared or sold.

The server is in the United Kingdom, run by UK Dedicated Servers Ltd, who host it for us and have no access to its contents.

What we hold about clients

If you become a client we hold what is needed to do the work and to invoice you, and whatever lives inside the system we built for you. We do not sell it, share it, mine it or train anything on it, at any price, and there is an export for all of it. We do not name you as a customer or show your work unless you have said we may.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold, ask for it corrected, or ask for it deleted. Write to privacy@lightmorphic.com and we will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any point, without coming to us first.

Changes

If this changes we will update the date in the footer. We will not quietly start tracking people; that is not how we build things.
