Accessibility

We want this site to work for everybody. Here is what has been checked and, honestly, what has not.

How we are doing

This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, which is the standard the UK, EU and US rules all point at. The checks below were made by reading and testing the pages ourselves. It has not been audited by anyone outside the company, so treat this as our own assessment rather than a certificate.

What has been checked

Every page declares its language, has one main heading, and every picture that carries meaning has a written description.
A skip link is the first thing you reach with the keyboard, and every control is reachable and operable from the keyboard with a visible focus outline.
The text colours clear the AA contrast threshold against the dark background.
Links and buttons in the footer and the menu are at least 44 pixels tall.
Pinch zoom is not blocked, text scales to 200%, and the pages hold together from 1920 pixels down to 320 without sideways scrolling.
Nothing depends on colour alone, and nothing flashes or plays sound.
Movement is switched off if your system asks for less of it, and no animation is needed to read anything.
The pages are readable with JavaScript switched off. The demonstration on the front page and the scope picker on the pricing page stop working; all the writing is still there.

What has not been checked yet

Testing with a screen reader, with voice control, or with a switch device.
Every colour pair on the page, rather than the main ones.
Magnification software beyond browser zoom.

Known limitations

This site is dark only. There is no light theme, which some people with low vision or light sensitivity need. Your browser's own high-contrast or forced-colours mode will override it.

The chat bubble is added to the page by our own client portal. We have less control over its markup than over the rest of the site, so we do not claim it meets AA. The contact form does, and it reaches us the same way, so nothing is only available through the chat.

A few labels are set in small monospace type — the tags beside the headings and the text inside the mock-ups that stand in for software. They sit at 12 to 13 pixels rather than the 14 we hold the rest of the site to. Nothing is said only there, and browser zoom scales all of it.

The software we build

The same standard is the target for everything we build for clients. If part of what you have asked for cannot meet it, we will tell you before you commission the work rather than after.

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know, and we will fix it or find another way to get you what you need. If you are not happy with our answer you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, who advise on rights under the Equality Act 2010.
